Whether driving in the summer sun or frosted winter snow, there are many routes you can take, the 376km journey we've routed travels the west side via Kyle of Lochalsh & onto Ullapool.

This road trip starts at Loch Lomond, one of the largest bodies of fresh water in Britain, bordered by beautiful mountain scenery.

Travelling north the through greenery, stop at the Falls of Falloch before continuing the drive of Trossachs National Park.

Cruising north past the picturesque Loch Tulla, you are soon nestled in the mountainous landscape, imposing above you with awe-inspiring panoramic views.

Passing Glencoe Mountain & Loch Leven, you drive a bridge over Leven & famous Loch Linnhe, & up along the banks of Loch Eil.

Reaching Fort William & Ben Nevis Mountain, visit Old Inverlochy Castle & Ben Nevis Distillery. You continue to the Commando Memorial & tranquillity of Loch Lochy.

The route then passes Loch Garry, Loch Clunie, & Loch Duich – stop & explore the 13th Century Eilean Donan Castle.

Stop in Kyle of Lochalsh via the Balmacara Estate before heading north, reaching Loch Dughill & driving through the awe-inspiring scenery of Loch Glascarnoch & Loch Droma

Explore the Corrieshalloch Gorge National Nature Reserve before finishing the journey to Ullapool along Loch Broom.
